Just when things couldn’t get any worse, she felt the splat
of a fat raindrop on her face. Then another. And another.
Turning to run back in, a realization suddenly hit her.
“Here, no one will see.”
And standing there in the rain, she finally let her tears
escape, mixing and hiding with nature’s fury.
Come rain, come and wash away my pain.
ReplyDelete@Purba - I'm turning into a BIG fan of your words :)
ReplyDeleteSo it trickled down his face, washing away years of repugnance and pain..
ReplyDeleteNow THIS I liked! Quite normal. Although, ironically, after all that berating, I think I preferred the psychotic fiction more :D (I loved the creepy twists in the end). You know....grass is always greener... :D
ReplyDeleteIt's strange how we find cover & comfort in the raindrops to soak away our pain! Nice :)
ReplyDeleteRain ameliorates pain within...
ReplyDeleteNature has her own ways of healing us and rain is one of them. That awesome feeling to let ourselves to get lost in the rain. Washes away the tears and gives strength to rise from within.

ReplyDeleteThis is too 'normal' for you. I loved the "then-she-wiped-the-bloody-knife" stories.
ReplyDeletePah!
